Not all buildings matter

There are a variety of buildings to make in your city and outposts.

Not all of them MATTER.

City:

Farms build 1 to 9 (or 10) and 2 others to level 1.  Beyond that, you won't need them.  You don't feed your army with your farms.  You feed them taking food from Anthropus camps, or some silly twit who overbuilds farms.

Mines build 1 to 9 (or 10), 2 others to level 5.  You need metal more than you need food, but beyond  these, waste of population.

Quarry like mines.

Lumber Mill like mines.

Summary of above : this is not sim city, you get your resources killing things.

Theater: AYFKM? total waste of time... level 1 for quest, and to unlock the videos, if you are into that.

Rookery : level 5  (that's all you are going to need)

Wall : early game, don't bother.  later game, build them.

Dragon keep : duh... max it out

Fortress : max it out

Garrison, you need 6 of them, one of them level 10, the others level 9

muster point : level 11 if you can (quest)

officer quarters :level 11 for quest, 3 below muster point otherwise

science center, level 10

Factory, level 9

Metal Smith level 9

most of the rest houses, maxed out

this mix will max the armies you can throw around and produce.

Outposts (not spectral) :

Silo : don't build them

Farms : don't build them

Lumber mill : don't build them

Mines : don't build them

Quarry don't build them.

summary , outpost is NOT for resources.  It's for producing more soldiers.

the ONLY things you build :

Dragon keep max

houses max

training camps max

Spectral :

this should be obvious

Dragon keep max, Dark portal max, mausoleum build to hold as needed, reaper stones max out.

Build as advised above, and you won't be waiting around for resources... you will attack things and take what you need, and you will have the army to back it up.
